Monarto Equestrian Centre
Southern Hills Pony Club is a part of the Southern Zone group of pony clubs, and therefore, we have a part ownership of Monarto Equestrian Centre - a base set up for pony clubs in the Southern Zone.
Monarto Equestrian Centre is located just off of the Old Prince's Highway, in Monarto, SA. It was purchased by the Southern Zone in 1985, and it is situated on 85 hectares of undulating wheat and grazing area.
The property consists of a homestead, ablution block, dormitories, common room, reception/enquiries/secretarial office, various stabling facilities and storage sheds, an excellent flat area for dressage and showjumping and a first class cross country course.
See more at their website: www.monartoequestriancentre.com.au
As owners of Monarto Equestrian Centre, the responsibility of maintenance and upkeep falls upon all members of the Southern Zone.
Southern Zone clubs are allocated with a certain number of hours each year (based on membership numbers) that they are required to complete as working bee hours. Without these the centre would fall into disrepair.
